Terms and Conditions

1. About AutoShare

AutoShare Cooperative is an Alabama nonprofit mutual benefit cooperative. We operate a voluntary cost-sharing program where members contribute monthly to a shared pool that may help reimburse eligible major vehicle repair costs.

2. Membership and Eligibility

• •Membership is subject to approval and limited to the Alabama Pilot Program.
• •You must meet all eligibility requirements, including vehicle age, mileage, Alabama registration, and passing any required inspection.
• •You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of Alabama.
• •By joining, you agree to the Member Agreement, Member Guidelines, and these Terms of Service.

3. Monthly Contributions and Payments

• •You agree to pay the monthly contribution for your assigned tier.
• •Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• •Contributions are non-refundable.
• •You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically each month.
• •Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your membership.
• •We may adjust contribution amounts with proper notice.

4. Waiting Period

There is a 90-day waiting period for all repairs after your membership effective date. No claims will be eligible during this period.

5. Claims and Reimbursements

• •All claims are governed by the Member Agreement and Member Guidelines.
• •Reimbursements are discretionary and subject to pool availability, eligibility rules, and approval.
• •We reserve the right to deny, partially approve, or require additional documentation for any claim.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• •Provide false or misleading information
• •Submit fraudulent claims
• •Attempt to abuse or game the shared pool
• •Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
• •Harass other members or AutoShare staff

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your membership.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the AutoShare website, portal, and materials (logos, text, graphics, etc.) is owned by AutoShare Cooperative or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission.

8. Disclaimers

We are not liable for any repair costs, vehicle downtime, or consequential damages.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoShare Cooperative, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total contributions you have paid to AutoShare in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AutoShare harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

• •Your violation of these Terms
• •Your submission of fraudulent claims
• •Your misuse of the Services

11. Termination

• •You may cancel your membership at any time.
• •We may terminate or suspend your membership at any time for violation of these Terms, the Member Agreement, or the Member Guidelines.
• •Paid contributions are non-refundable upon termination.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your membership will be resolved through binding arbitration in Birmingham, Alabama, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to sue in court or join a class action.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the member portal. Continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
